BLB advises Rustavi Azot, LLC, the largest industrial enterprise in Georgia, on $200,000,000 complex transaction involving project financing, re-financing of an existing credit facility and a sale of assets. 

As an outside legal counsel, BLB represents Microsoft in its efforts to enforce its intellectual property rights in Georgia. In an unprecedented move, in less than six months, BLB undertook six enforcement actions on behalf of Microsoft in Georgia and achieved 100% success rate.

BLB represents a global IT, software and system provider on $2,000,000 commercial litigation.

BLB represents one of the largest foreign investor operated company in Georgia on GEL 41,000,000 commercial litigation.

BLB advised JSC Poti Sea Port Corporation to obtain revolving credit facility of $40,000,000 granted by A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S.

BLB advised Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) on $8,000,000 direct secured loan financing of Teliani Valley, one of the largest wine producers in Georgia. The transaction also involved refinancing of an existing credit facility.

BLB advised Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in connection with $29,000,000 refinancing loan provided to GMT Hotels, LLC, the owner and operator of two Marriot Hotels in Tbilisi, for the refinancing of City Group.

BLB acted as local counsel to Achar Energy advising it in negotiations with the Government of Georgia and private investors in connection with [$130,000,000] project involving construction, operation and ownership of [two] hydropower plants in Georgia.

 

BLB advised Subway International B.V., the owner of a worldwide chain of restaurants under trademark Subway, in connection with the Franchise Agreement, Development Agent Agreement and Trademark Agreement, as well as various intellectual property, tax and general corporate matters.

BLB advised Rustaveli Properties LLC, a Georgian entity owned by a group of domestic and international investors and developers, in $9,000,000 privatization transaction. The representation included preparation of a legal opinion covering the assessment of risks associated with the special status of the property.

BLB successfully represented Chinese corporation in its bid for the construction project, with budget of over $60,000,000, for the construction of an administrative building in Georgia.

BLB acted as local counsel for Research in Motion (RIM), Manufacturer of Blackberry products, in connection with extending Blackberry product sales to Georgia.

BLB advised a group of international investors in $160,000,000 acquisition of one of the largest industrial plants in Georgia, the largest industrial acquisition in Georgia.

BLB advised Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in connection with $30,000,000 loan issued to a Georgian commercial bank.

BLB advised Capital Vostok in connection with $50,000,000 development project of a functional residential complex, Rustaveli Residence.

BLB acted as local counsel for Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in connection with the issuance of $29,000,000 Senior Loan and $10,000,000 Subordinated Loan to a Georgian commercial bank.
