Giorgi Chagelishvili joined the BLB team as a Junior Associate in October 2023.
Prior to joining BLB, in 2022 Giorgi worked as a Special Assistant to the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of India. Giorgi was actively engaged in the drafting process of official Note Verbal’s, Memorandums of Understanding, Communiqués and analytical reports. Giorgi actively worked on organizing Embassy’s projects and official meetings between state officials.
Aside from public office, Giorgi has work experience in the private sector as well. He interned for Ernst and Young Georgia, where he worked on numerous legal projects. During his internship, he acquired valuable experience with respect to Corporate and commercial law, Personal Data protection law and Labor and employment law.
During his university studies at Free University of Tbilisi, he actively participated in numerous prestigious international and national moot court competitions. Namely he was the national champion of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition; Giorgi also participated in Central and Eastern Europe Moot Competition (CEEMC) concerning EU law, in Luxembourg City. Giorgi also gained some practical experience in Private, Administrative and Human Rights legal clinics, at Free University of Tbilisi.
